Film Downturn Not All Bad!

Film’s loss is Homeowners’ gain.
The downturn in Film in Toronto this year has led Scenic Artist Janet Carmichael to do what she really loves to do: Murals. She creates beautiful hand-painted environments for local residents; castles, horses, forests full of furry creatures or whatever people fancy for their homes or offices.
Janet has a Bachelor of Fine Art from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and post-graduate painting training in England.

Terry Fox Run
Just writing to remind people of the Terry Fox Run on September 14. There has been a Rosedale - Moore Park celebration of the Terry Fox Run since 1983.
Moore park i is a favourite of runners and bladers, joggers, dog walkers and families.The money raised is used to fund leading edge research under the guidance of the National Cancer Institute of Canada. The Terry Fox Foundation grants money and uses nearly 90% of every dollar raised goes toward research.
